oshawott, the best starter?

I have been thinking to myself why people think oshawott is the best starter. is is because its moves it can learn, cause hes "cool", or is it because that just saying that for fun.i meen come one 50% of america chose and i dont get why. in my opinion turtwig was the best starter and if you disagree its fine i understand. what do you guys think of oshawott and why

in my opinion tepig is the best. i havent evolved mine yet(lvl 71) and so far it has never let me down. i have eviolite on it which makes it even better. Tepig is the best!

i cant say much i picked tepig i tried oshawott and not snivy so idk but tepig was good 4 me i beat the game in 4 days

Tepig has been the most reliable pokemon for me. It beat Alders Volcorona

Oshawott is still good though. Its hella adorable. And mine has had its good moments. It was able to topple Marshalls Throh.

i like oshawott because its the only water type in this game to have over 100 base spatk stat
